Some seo companies offer basic link building services such as search engine submission, directory submission, article submission and so forth. These seo companies basically have a cookie-cutter approach to marketing their search engine optimization services. The problem is that the one size fits all approach doesn't really work so well, for the search engine optimization company or the client. In reality, there isn't a single solution that works for every client. So why do search engine optimization companies offer such cookie-cutter packages? seo nh One reason is because clients want something quantifiable.

The online world of internet marketing and search engine optimization is full of question marks for the average small, medium or even large business owner. If you consider the instant return on investment that is part of the offline advertising and marketing world, and compare that to the not so instant return on investment in the internet marketing world, it's no wonder that clients want to know exactly what they are getting when they fork over the big bucks.

The fact of the matter is that in an online environment, search engine optimization is a slow process of increasing your web site's exposure. You pay now and receive later, sometimes much later. When search engine optimization companies do their job correctly the benefits are enormous! Your web site ranks for many keywords that get searched thousands of times per month, thus increasing traffic and sales in a huge way. It just takes time to do it right.

I think the problem with seo services and the clients who purchase them is the lack of education in regards to exactly how seo works. In other words, people have unreasonable expectations. They expect to pay "x" amount of dollars to receive instant (or pretty close to instant) returns in the form of high ranking keywords and tons of traffic. My gut feeling is that as time wears on this will be less of a problem. Right now the gulf between the internet savvy and the internet unsavvy is pretty big. That gulf will become smaller and smaller over time though as more and more people become properly acquainted with the role of search engine optimization and the companies who provide such services.

Full Service Search Engine Optimization

What is full service search engine optimization? First of all it's organic search engine optimization, as opposed to pay per click. Organic search engine optimization is the term describing a system of techniques designed to increase your keyword rankings, thus increasing traffic to your web site via the search engines. Full service search engine optimization is usually offered by all-in-one graphic desigh/website development/seo companies. Since such services are mixed in with the initial development of a web site, the search engine optimization aspect of it can be overseen from the very beginning. This will result in proper site architecture, where the code is not quirky and unfriendly to search engines. Usually, a good website designer knows enough about how design and seo coexist to implement it's architecture correctly.

After the site is up you need content. Now, any professional writer could write great content for your website; readable, flowing, professional sounding content. But this is not always conducive to search engine optimization! When writing content with seo in mind, we need to be careful to include an intelligent selection of keywords. This is a different art altogether. When a company provides you with full service search engine optimization, they will always make sure your content is loaded with keywords, yet not offensive to the 'eye.' In other words, it reads nicely yet still contains your keywords, which are indispensable!

Once your content is up on the site (or blog) then you are good to go, almost. If your business is important to you, and you want to leverage the internet to provide new avenues for your customers to access your products or services, you need to rank competitively for the competitive keywords in your niche. This is where full service search engine optimization really shows its worth. These top keywords are worth their weight in gold! The top keywords in your niche bring in WAY more traffic than the longtail keywords do. Longtail keywords are, say, longer than 3 words. Say for instance "Organic Search Engine Optimization Massachusetts." That is a longtail keyword that is easy to rank for. The more specific and longer the phrase is, the easier it is to rank for, but, there are only a few searches per month for a keyword like that. On the other hand, for a keyword like, "Seo Services" there are thousands and thousands of searches per month! So it's important to have an seo company that will fight for your top keywords. This involves, of course, ongoing seo 'maintenance' but it's worth it. It's like paying for great advertising, without the ongoing payments.

Christopher Lees is an Seo Consultant, Service Provider and Search Engine Optimization Expert. This is the topic for today that I will be addressing. If you would like to speak to me personally via email please contact me at (Chris) seojobaccnt@gmail.com. Members of the press looking for the real scoop on seo need not look any further as I, your highly trained seo specialist from Massachusetts, am unfortunately unable to keep a secret.

Before I address the main topic of this article, search engine optimization vs pay per click, let me just briefly explain what exactly inspired this post. As I was browsing the job search engines (I've been looking for a permanent seo job near the coast) I noticed in many of the job descriptions (supposedly for the position of an seo specialist, seo expert or senior seo analyst) that pay per click (PPC) expertise was often stressed as an important requirement.

I think pay per click is a legitimate and effective way to advertise online but it isn't search engine optimization. PPC falls more under the category of search engine marketing. Basically it's a form of advertising where, in contrast, search engine optimization is more focused on increasing traffic by increasing your rankings in the serps. Search engine marketing is not the same thing as search engine optimization. Seo focuses on your search engine ranking and not all forms of advertising or marketing. PPC kind of a roll of the dice. No matter how good you are at it, all it takes is for one nooby marketer to ruin the whole ppc gig. Bidding goes up or down depending on the competition and how they bid on certain terms. If you have a real noob trying his hand at ppc, in your niche, it could upset the apple cart.

PPC is too risky and really unnecessary. Why pay for your clicks when you could achieve top search engine placement instead? A top ranking site will always reap the benefits of their initial seo investment, over and over again. The return on investment is phenomenal rendering ppc unnecessary.

Seo For Google

Contact me (Christopher Lees) at seojobaccnt@gmail.com for seo services, consulting and or interviews if you happen to be a member of the press.

Seo for google is seo, period. Understand that google traffic accounts for about %85 of all traffic online. That means that a vast majority of the people searching online are using google search. So, if you want traffic you need to optimize for google. You could hire an seo consultant or seo services company to do your work or you could learn how to do seo yourself for free.

Free seo? There isn't any such thing as free seo services but you sure can learn a lot about seo just by googling seo and seeing what comes up. Then read, read and read some more. The problem is that when you are a young seo (inexperienced) it's hard to tell the difference between good seo advice and bad seo advice. Unfortunately the best seo experts don't write much. They keep their secrets to themselves and work for the money. They rank their own sites or work for others and get paid quite well.

So what do we have to do to rank in google? Links. You need anchored links and lots of them. Anchored links are the critical factor in seo for google. I know this not because I read it somewhere but because over the years I've conducted a ton of seo tests. There are some good seo blogs out there though like bluehatseo.com. I'm not much of a fan of seomoz or any of the really popular authority sites. They are just pandering to google and propagating the propaganda. Don't believe me? Fine.

The most aggressive seo's are called black hat seo's. They basically do anything and everything it takes to get their pages ranked in the search engines. I know quite a few seo's who are total black hats and they make a ton of money selling pills and whatnot. Really competitive niches need really competitive seo practices. Seo india is a google search that will land you some black hat seo's. Of course they don't market themselves that way because it'll kill their business, but that's what a lot of them are.

Anyhow, these black hat seo's are masters of link building techniques. They know more places to get links than you can shake a stick at. These phony seo consultants who get all the fame and praise are mere pretenders compared to the black hat seo's! But no, we can't talk about black hat seo techniques. The propaganda artists who are actually mouth pieces for google have fear mongered prospective clients into believing that black hat seo will get your site banned. I don't know of this ever actually happening.

I know all the talk and all the lingo. I could make this a typical seo blog and go on and on about the same old same old, but I don't. This blog is just my personal space for rambling about seo. If you are here reading this then consider yourself lucky. I'm not selling any software and I don't have any ads on my site. I just have my email address on each post and that's it.

Want to rank in google? Get seo elite to analyze your competition's backlinks. Then write a bunch of content for your website and use all the keywords you can in your niche. I use keyword elite to generate keyword lists. Then, once you've got your site up with content go out and get links. Get more links that the top ranking site in your niche and wait. Once your links age you'll rank in the top spot. If that doesn't work then just get a few more links until it does.

I know this is a rambling post but that's what you get when you are a stream of consciousness kind of guy like me. Dig around this blog and you'll find some gems.

Seo Tools a Good Idea?

Members of the press, clients and those interested can contact me (Christopher Lees) at seojobaccnt@gmail.com.

There are a number of different types of seo tools. Some seo tools are used for keyword research, competitor analysis, link building, content generation, checking pagerank, checking to make sure your code is good and lots of other things. I classify seo tools in two different categories.

There are on-page seo tools and off-page seo tools. Most of the top seo blogs and websites offer the use of on-page seo tools. They check your site to see how it is being crawled by the search engine spiders and things like that. Those of you who have been reading this blog will know that I attribute seo success mostly to off-page seo factors like link building and network building.

I think on-page seo factors account for about %15 of your success or failure. I maintain that on-page seo is not critical to your rankings. Link building (correct link building that is) is where the bulk of your seo campaign should be directed. In that regard link building tools are great for seo. I have no use for the other on-page tools.

Some good seo tools for building links are:

1. Social bookmarking software
2. Article submission software
3. Directory submission software
4. Blog commenting software
5. I also browse craigslist once in a while too but not too often. I get a big kick out of all the pretenders out there. I saw a listing today where a local seo company was charging $175 per hour for their seo services! Wow, big money!!

They had a team of people working in their seo firm (from hadley massachusetts) bragging about their college degrees and education. Now, I'm not one to bash education as I myself am in college for I.T. right now. I love school! But to be honest I must say that they do not teach seo. Did you know that you can't take any seo classes in college?

Beware of seo specialists and seo companies that rely on their education to sell their seo talents. Seo is something you learn yourself online. The best seo's didn't necessarily go to school. In my experience the best seo's are people who have earned their experience trying to rank their own websites. Most fail but the few who survive and actually succeed at online marketing become great seo's!

Seo companies and firms charge outrageous prices for their time. I'm not against earning a good living mind you. I'm a capitalist! I love making money! But let's not get carried away here. Be reasonable. I would say that $100 per hour is fine but more than that is too much. Don't pay more than $100 per hour for seo services.

So in conclusion my advice is:

1. Don't be fooled by impressive credentials
2. Ask your seo if he has his own websites and how they rank; how many...
3. Don't pay more than $100 per hour for seo services.

Seo Done Right The First Time - Ya Right!!

Contact Christopher Lees for expert seo services at seojobaccnt@gmail.com.

I was checking some of my competition today and I noticed a recurring theme running rampant among them. First of all their sites were very nicely laid out and very professional looking. Next thing I noticed was a lot of bragging about experience, education and references. Sounds good so far right? Keep reading...

The next thing I noticed were the prices. $175 and hour in more than one case. Big money wouldn't you say? But finally, and this is what bugged me, I noticed this: "We do your seo right THE FIRST TIME so you don't need regular maintenance." This statement just smacks of BS. It's a sure sign that these folks aren't real seo's. Let me explain and I'm sure you'll agree with me.

Imagine this scenario: over the course of time people discover valuable keywords like "Cheap Car Insurance." Lots of people begin to realize that ranking in position one in google for this term could earn you thousands each day. Lot's of people hire seo companies to seo their site. Each company "does it right the first time" and does absolutely maintenance. Tell me now how they are all going to rank number one?

Well I guess if you shoot for non competitive keywords (that bring no traffic to speak of) then an seo expert could "do it right the first time" but that's not the scenario I outlined. I'm talking about real money keywords. Competitive keywords. The answer is an seo has to keep fighting for your keywords day in and day out for a long time before you'll conquer that keyword. There is no such thing as "doing it right the first time."

So if your seo guy promises to get it right the first time, ask him to rank you for "credit cards" and see what he says.

Seo Expert Massachusetts

Are you looking for an Seo Expert to provide you with effective search engine optimization services? Contact Chris at seojobaccnt@gmail.com. Members of the press who want the real scoop on seo can contact me as well. I'll spill a few beans! See my Seo Massachusetts profile.

If you are thinking of hiring an seo do get your website or blog more traffic read on. You might be interested in knowing just what you should get for your dollar. What does an seo expert do anyway? This is the main question I wish to address in this post today, which happens to be another fine autumn day in western Massachusetts.

An seo expert is someone who knows how to get your site ranked in the popular search engines (read Google) which in turn brings you more traffic and sales. I want to draw a distinction here between traffic and sales though. In a strict sense an SEO is responsible for just ranking your site while an SEM (Search Engine Marketer) will help you market your products. An SEM is responsible for increasing sales and that can include bringing more traffic need be. But if the traffic is already there then the sem will work on conversion factors to help you increase sales.

In some circles and seo is considered just about the same thing as an sem. Business owners and managers aren't generally that familiar with the lingo and use seo and sem interchangeably quite often. In my experience those who market themselves as SEM's are generally more inclined to work on conversions and sales with a minimum of real traffic driving seo strategies.

An seo is an (or should be) expert at driving traffic and dominating the search results. A good seo specialist might for example dominate the entire first page of the search engine results pages (serps) by not only ranking your site on page one, but also ranking 9 other sites and pages (that he created on your behalf) that sell your products or link directly to your main site thus funneling traffic. That is called domination in the seo world.

Search Engine Optimization Services | Know What You Are Getting Into

Christopher Lees can be contacted at seojobaccnt@gmail.com. Whether you are a potential client or a member of the press please feel free to contact me about the real scoop on seo.

It's a beautiful fall day here in western Massachusetts and it's got me in the mood to write. I'm writing this blog specifically to warn potential seo scam victims about the shady nature of search engine optimization services. I'm also writing this blog as a reference for my own clients. I believe my clients should be educated (at least just a little bit) about seo so that they can set reasonable expectations.

Search engine optimization services are not all the same to put it simply. It's not like all search engine service providers or companies do the exact same thing. However it's apparent to me that the majority of seo service companies are NOT the real thing. I don't care if they have a fancy site and tons of referrals either. It's all just fluff and BS!! Just like when you (yes you!!) fluff up your resume when applying for a great job. You fluff it up and you know it! Well so do seo companies. They fluff it up big time.

Don't be fooled by a ton of references or a big portfolio. Why? Because the VAST majority of website owners who employ seo's are small business owners who know nothing at all about seo and what to REALLY expect.

Content is KING! That is the popular saying that reverberates endlessly in the echo chambers of seo forums and seo blogs. I can't tell you how many seo's I know that say "Content is KING" and base their whole seo strategy on writing good content. I must say in all candor and honesty that this is complete nonsense! Search engine optimization services can include writing "seo'd content" but let's not get carried away with the idea.

Sine when is writing great content considered seo? Don't get me wrong here as I do believe that good content for your website or blog is a great thing. Why not provide your visitors with a valuable experience? I'm merely drawing a the distinction between what seo is and is not. It is NOT writing great "seo content"

See, as seo's we develop keyword lists for your site. We need to get those keywords in your content somehow because they do help you rank. In fact if we could just paste a list of about 1000 keywords to your homepage that would be perfect. However, your competitors would rat you out as a spammer to google and your site would be manually deindexed from the search listings. Hence the need for compelling content!

The "Great Content" is nothing but keyword camouflage. Google can't tell the difference between good content, good poetry, bad content or bad poetry. It's entirely subjective isn't it? How can an algorithm evaluate art such as creative writing? It can't. Good content is not seo. It may be persuasive copy that sells your products or it may be a place to stuff your keywords but that is all. Great content keeps competitors from flagging your site to google. End of story.

Seo's do frequently write content for their clients sites but that's just because we want to get your keywords on your website somehow. Often times professional writers don't understand how to weave these keywords in while maintaining the integrity of the content. There needs to be a certain amount of keyword density and that is usually beyond the average ghost writer.

Still, content is not critical in ranking your website. It counts for sure but it is not critical. There is a lot of google propaganda out there making it hard for the uninformed to really find out the truth, hence my blog post here today. Know what you are getting into when you are about to hire a company to provide your search engine optimization services. It's not about the content, it's not about the meta tags and it's not about search engine submissions.

So just what is the critical factor in successful search engine optimization services? I will save that topic for another day.

SEO Meta Tags | Seo Services

Contact Christopher Lees via email at seojobaccnt@gmail.com for seo services. If you are a member of the press and want the real scoop on SEO feel free to contact me as well.

Today I would like to talk about meta tags, their functionality seo-wise and seo scammers who exploit small business owners. There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding best seo practices used by supposedly seo experts and specialists. I want to clear up some fallacies.

Meta tags are not visible to the visitor who visits your site. Meta tags are for the search engines. When setting up a blog or website there is a place in the front end where you can simply add meta tags. These meta tags are basically keywords that tell the search engines what your site is about. That's all, nothing critical and here's why.

A number of years ago when search engines were still in their early stages of development, seo's figured out that you could rank you website rather easily by simply stuffing tons of keywords in the meta tags. It worked for a while but the search engine developers quickly wised up and devalued the effectiveness of meta tags in ranking.

Some say that meta tags are irrelevant nowadays and I agree, for the most part. With regards to Google I do believe indeed that meta tags now play an almost totally irrelevant role in search engine rankings. Since Google is the absolute king of search engine traffic this renders meta tag "stuffing" (or legit use) rather obsolete. However, meta tags still count a bit more as far as Yahoo search is concerned. Too bad Yahoo delivers hardly any traffic as compared to Google.

Despite the fact that meta tags fail to function as they once did seo scammers are still exploiting this fancy, techie sounding sally. Most small business owners seeking seo services are simply blown away by the mere mention of such mysterious entities as META TAGS. Seo scammers know this and viola! A sucker is born everyday!

Beware of seo scammers. They will charge you an arm and a leg to do simple things like pasting some keywords in a meta tag box in the front end of your site. Sad but true. Small business owners should pay attention! If your seo is selling services such as Meta Tag Placement and Search Engine Submissions as the mainstay of his seo services package STAY AWAY!!!

Having said that I do still put keywords in the meta tags but only to get the trickle traffic from yahoo. That's it. I don't even CHARGE my clients for meta tag placement even though I could. Everyone else does. But that's not real seo in my book. Seo is an art and a science in one. It involves analysis and creativity and not just some cookie cutter approach for all sites and blogs.

Meta tags are definitely not critical to your website's search engine rankings.

Seo Services - Dont Be Duped!

If you need SEO services or are a member of the press and want the real scoop about SEO contact Christopher Lees at seojobaccnt@gmail.com.

How do you know you are getting screwed by your SEO service provider? I will enjoy answering this question today as it seriously needs to be addressed. Seo is typically quite expensive because it's extremely valuable. Not everyone can rank a site in google on page one of the search results. Those that are on page one (for their respective keywords) stand to make a lot more money than those on page 2 and the rest of the internet.

If the seo services provided by your seo team includes search engine submission you better hang on to your wallet and prepare to grieve. Let me say that again. If your seo guys feature search engine submissions as a selling point then stay away. Nothing could be more useless than paying for search engine submission services. What a colossal waste of time and money. It does you absolutely no good at all. There are only 3 search engines that matter at all and really just one of them.

The search engines that matter are Google, Yahoo and Msn. Bing is on the way up and Yahoo is slated to be outsourcing their search engine services to Bing within the next couple of years. Statistically speaking Google drives about %80 of search traffic! So when an seo company says that they are going to submit your site to thousands of search engines they are submitting to junk search engines that deliver no traffic at all.

It's a scam. These guys are not real seo's yet I see this all the time. It's unbelievable. You have now officially been warned. Seo services are not cheap (I'm sure you know that already) so spend your money wisely. If you are from Massachusetts and need seo services feel free to contact me at seojobaccnt@gmail.com and we can chat face to face. I will address this topic in today's post and try to draw a distinction between organic and non organic search engine optimization.

Non Organic seo usually revolves around PPC advertising. PPC stands for Pay Per Click advertising. This is where you pay google to show up when certain keywords are searched either locally or nationally, or even internationally. This can be expensive and risky but also very profitable. Websites that purchase PPC ads show up on the right hand side of the search results under Sponsored Results. You have all seen this right? The deal is that you pay every time a searcher clicks your ad. The amount you pay depends on how competitive the keyword is.

Organic search engine optimization is where you focus on ranking in the natural listings. That is to say the normal results and not the sponsored listings. The benefit here is that once you attain a competitive ranking you continually reap the benefits without having to pay per click! A much better return on investment to be sure.

Competent seo's have developed tried and tested methods designed to improve your search engine rankings. The drawback is that it usually takes some time before you can enjoy the results. PPC is instant but costly while organic seo is all natural but slower. With PPC once you run out of advertising money you lose all of your traffic and sales. With organic seo your competitive ranking is there for the long term barring any unforeseen changes in the ranking algorithm.

What is SEO?

Seo is an acronym for search engine optimization. What is seo and why do website owners need it? That is what I will address today in this blog post. If you have any questions about seo just ask me in the comment section or email me at seojobaccnt@gmail.com and I'll be happy to answer some of your questions.

Search engine optimization is the art of ranking websites competitively in the search results pages (SERPS). The idea is very simple in that your website needs traffic in order for you to make sales. Who would be most interested in seo services? Well, most anyone who has an interest in turning their website into a serious income stream.

If I had to narrow it down I would say local small to medium business owners benefit the most. Unlike other internet marketers local business owners have a brick and mortar business with products to sell, hence they make more money per sale. Local business usually try to funnel local search engine traffic to their actual brick and mortar business. Therefore generally speaking local businesses receive more ROI than your average website online.

I live in Massachusetts and work with dozens of clients to help them achieve their online goals of developing a new and serious income stream via their websites. In short I make sure that their websites receive more traffic. The traffic comes from other locals searching for products or services in their specific area. For instance if you own a flower delivery business in western Massachusetts then you would want to rank on page one of the search results in google for keywords like "Flower Delivery Western Massachusetts" and other similar keyword phrases.

Higher rankings in the serps results in more traffic which results in more sales. No traffic no sales! So in a nutshell that is the function that an seo provides. I recommend hiring a local seo so you can actually meet him in person. It's not uncommon to hire an seo and never ever actually meet him in person but if you own a small to medium business and are looking to drive local traffic to your business, then I recommend finding a good and local seo to provide your search engine optimization services.
